The CollECTeR series of conferences was established to link EC research centres at nine universities in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa and to form a basis for collaborative research in Electronic Commerce. Since its inception the CollECTeR group has grown to twenty institutions, including research centres in Great Britain, Slovenia and the United States.
CollECTeR (LatAm 2005) is another initiative of this inter university research group; this third CollECTeR conference in South America is organized by the Faculty of Business Administration and the Engineering Faculty of the University of Talca. The CollECTeR Conference on Electronic Commerce for Latin America will be held from Monday 3 October through Wednesday 5 October 2005 in Talca, Chile.
The conference is sponsored by Telmex, U.Talca DIAT (Office of Research and Technical Assistance) , Swinburne University of Technology Hewlett Packard, Balduzzi Wines, Microsoft, Empresas Bryc, Maule Activa, IEEE, SCCC (Chilean Society of Computer Science) Conicyt, and by GECHS (Group of Chilean Software Businesses).
